It builds on the features of the P200-2 by introducing several new ones, such as the previously mentioned dynamic thermal heat management, which evenly distributes heat across a heatsink that spans the entire amplifier. This has the effect of keeping the internal components cool, and maximizing the potential of all the components. This ultimately results in better sound quality, and also makes the amp more energy efficient. Another feature the 300-2 adds over the 200-2 is DSM technology, which improves the efficiency of the circuits, while helping to maintain a low operating temperature. It achieves this by having the discrete components laser etched, which causes less cross-talk between the components, ultimately increasing efficiency and lowering excess heat. The TRANS-ana technology (a feature the P300-2 shares with the 200-2) lets a signal enter the amplifier with low voltage, increasing the reliability of the amp, and making it sound better.
