Pyle Audio PLX63

The Pyle Audio PLX63 are a pair of 6.5” 3-way coaxial car-audio loudspeakers built from a Polypropylene woofer cone. The eighth model in the Pyle Audio Wave series, the PLX63 is a downgrade from the PLG6.3 from the Gear X series.

The PLX63 offers a reduced peak power output (180w versus 280w) and nominal power output (90w versus 140w). The PLX63, however, features a larger midrange (2” pole mounted Aluminum versus .5” Neodymium) and tweeter (1” Mylar versus super film), not to mention a superior frequency response (50Hz-22kHz versus 60Hz-20kHz). Both models include custom grills and a boot magnet cover. The Pyle Audio PLX63 is priced at $38.50, a $17.75 decrease from the $56.25 PLG6.3, therefore rendering the PLX63 a more affordable speaker that incidentally happens to feature larger drivers.
