Pyle Audio PLX52

The Pyle Audio PLX52 are a pair of 5.25” 2-way coaxial car-audio loudspeakers built from a Polypropylene woofer cone. The fifth model in the Pyle Audio Wave series, the PLX52 competes with the PLG5.2 (Gear X), PLRL52 (Red Label), and the PLS50 (Plus).

The PLX52 maintains the PLS50’s 180w peak power and 90w nominal power, but does not include its film cone midrange. The PLX52 also comes equipped with the PLRL52’s Mylar dome tweeter (versus Neodymium). In addition, the PLX52 features the PLRL52 and PLX52’s 55Hz-20kHz frequency response. All four models feature a 1” hi-temp fluid enhanced voice coil, custom grills, and a rubber boot magnet cover. The PLX52 is priced at $33.50, rendering it $.50 more expensive than the PLRL52 ($33.00) and $3-5 less than the PLG5.2 ($36.50) and PLS52 ($38.50).
