Pyle Audio PLW12RD

The Pyle Audio PLW12RD are a pair of 12” subwoofers constructed from a red CD wace electro-plated cone. The second and last woofer in the Red Label series, the PLW12RD is a red version of the PLW12BL from the Blue Label series.

Both speakers support up to 800w of peak power output and 4 Ohms of impedance, although it should be noted that the PLW12RD utilizes a slightly inferior sensitivity of 85.5dB versus 86.7dB. In addition, the PLW12RD includes similar features such as a 2” hi-temp Kapton voice coil, a wife Butyl rubber surround, and a bumped/vented extended pole piece. Much like its peer, the PLW12RD also competes with the formidable 1200w PLBW124, 2400w PLCHW12, and the whopping 3200w PLD12WD. The Pyle Audio PLW12RD is priced at $57.50, the same price as the PLW12BL, but approximately $50-$100 more affordable than their superior competitors.
