Pyle Audio PLCHW15
$139.00
Released March, 2008
The Pros:Offers punchy, impactful bass you can feel. Powerful enough that it will shake the walls and knock cups off shelves. Work well with a wide variety of amps.
The Cons:Hard to find a box as big as the specs say they need. So loud that if you install them correctly you can get pulled over. Gets big distortion if you push your amp close to 800 watts.
The Pyle Audio PLCHW15 are a pair of 15” DVC subwoofers built from a Titanium injected Polypropylene cone. The third subwoofer in the Chopper series, the PLCHW15 trumps many of its 15” competitors such as the PL1590, PLWB155, and the PLWB15D by offering a whopping 3600w peak power output (versus 1000).

In fact, the PLCHW15 is second only to the diamond-cut 4000w PLD15WD from the Dryver series. In addition, the PLCHW15 sports various useful features such as a 2.5” hi-temp dual Kapton voice coil, a chrome-plated dome steel basket, and a non-fatiguing big rubber suspension. The Pyle Audio PLCHW15 is priced at $139.20, making it nearly $60 less expensive than the $195.80 PLD15WD.
