Pioneer TS-A1682R

The Pioneer TS-A1682R are a pair of 6.5” 4-way car-audio speakers designed out of lengthy Aramid fibers strands into a lightweight and rigid IMPP cone design. An upgrade from the TS-A1672R, the TS-A1682R supports a higher maximum power handling of 280w (versus 220w) and an increased sensitivity of 91dB (versus 90dB).

In addition, the TS-A1682R sports a 1.5” (versus 1.3125”) laminated polyester fiber midrange dome and a .375” (versus .4375) dome tweeter. Although the TS-A1682R does have a smaller tweeter, its numerous other improvements keeps its price at $99.95, a $20 increase from the TS-A1672R’s $79.95. The Pioneer TS-A1682R also supports 30Hz-33kHz frequency response, glass-imide voice coil bobbins, heat-resistant polyester-imide resin coated voice coil wires, an Aramid fiber damper, a speaker grille, and a custom-fit basket for improved installation in oversized 6.5” applications.
