Pioneer TS-A1372R

The Pioneer TS-A1372R are a pair of 5.25” 3-way car-audio loudspeakers composed out of interlaced dual Aramid fibers designed in a composite IMPP cone. An upgrade/downgrade from the 5.25” TS-A1302C, the Pioneer TS-A1372R has a maximum power handling of 200w (versus 180w) and a lower frequency of 35Hz-31kHz (versus 36-30kHz).

I say upgrade/downgrade because although the TS-A1372R performs better than the TS-A1302C in some areas (upgrade), it is considered an overall less superior product (downgrade). For instance, the TS-A1372R has only a .375” dome tweeter (versus the TS-A1302C’s .865” Tetron soft dome tweeter). In addition, the TS-A1372R does not possess an angled surface for tweeter pivoting, nor 2-way external crossovers. The Pioneer TS-A1372R, however, does feature a 1.25” lightweight balanced dome midrange speaker, a speaker grille, and a considerably more affordable MSRP of $79.95 (versus $149.95).
