Kicker SoloX S18X

$750.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Proprietary cone & coil assembly - the cast-aluminum basket and motor assembly remains intact during reload. Retro-fits into the previous generation's frame - no need to purchase additional hardware. Transfers heat well - allows for louder bass without any hazards.

The Cons:Marketed with a 5000 Watts RMS specification - only really capable of 2500 RMS. Might be too powerful for the average user.

The massive 18" Kicker SoloX S18X is the largest subwoofer available in Kicker's SoloX product series, which are the most powerful subwoofers offered by Kicker.  The use of Kickers patented square subwoofer technology gives them a maximum area, but the earmark of the SoloX line is the SPAIR (Simple Pull Apart Insertable Replacement).

Product Shot 2  This patented cone/coil assembly allows the cast-aluminum basket and motor assembly to remain intact in the enclosure during reload, which allows these woofers to withstand high amounts of abuse and vibration. The SoloX are loaded with other features, such as a UniPlate V.2™ hyper-extended, pole/backplate assembly which is cooled by X-Vent technology and a vented pole's ARCTIC (Aluminum Rapid Cooling Thermal Induction Centering) cap, dual voice coils and oversized copper-clad-aluminum, edge-wound coil wire.  All these features give speakers excellent heat transfer, pressure release and maximum power handling. The one-piece injection molded cone features a new spoke design, roller outer edging and stitched surroud providing strength and rigidity.  If you are looking to upgrade your previous model SoloX BAM models, the SoloX SPAIRs will retro-fit with no modifications required.  The 18" S18X offers an incredible 10,000 W peak power with 5,000 W RMS, has a resonance frequency of 22.18 Hz and a frequency response of 18-100 Hz.  All SoloX models are available with dual 2-Ohm or dual 4-Ohm voice coils depending on your system needs.
