Kicker CompVR CVR8

$70.00 Released January, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Good clarity, no real distortion noticeable. Good power output, will turn a few heads as you drive by. Well built, nothing needs to be fixed up or tweaked when you get it.

The Cons:Not as clearly defined as higher end subwoofers, some muffling noticeable. Not as powerful as it could be, won't rattle any windows.

The Kicker CompVR CVR8 subwoofer is a round 8 inch unit that delivers max rec amplifier power of 400/200 (watts peak/RMS).  It has a sensitivity of 83.1 db 1w/1m, a frequency response of 25-500 Hz, a mounting depth of 4-5/16 inches, and a mounting cutout of 7-1/16 inches.

Where to Buy

It includes standard features such as a ribbed Santoprene surround to add to the strength of the structure, an injection molded cone, 360 back bracing, dual voice coils, an efficient top-plate design, a high temperature wire, spring loaded push terminals, and perimeter venting.  The Kicker CompVR CVR8 subwoofer is the smallest of the CompVR line and therefore delivers the least power of the group.  This also means that it is the cheapest.  For those wanting the best sound quality and power, it might be better to wait, save a little more, and buy a higher end product in the line.
