Kicker Comp C8
$50.00
Released January, 2005
The Pros:Power output is enough for most people's needs. Flexible resistance settings help it work with a wider range of setups. Can handle a fair amount of use without burning out.
The Cons:Lose a lot of detail in the bass, not for audiophiles. Screw holes are a little tight, takes some work getting them installed.
The 8" Kicker Comp C8 is the smallest sub-woofer size available in the Comp series offered by Kicker. The Comp series is the lowest product line of subs offered by Kicker, and is intended to give buyers the most possible bang for their buck.

The technology used in Comp woofers is universal accross the 8, 10, 12 and 15 inch models available. The Comp series is designed to look good and also features several features such as double stitching on the surround, oil-cooling perimeter venting, and flex-killing inverted structural dome to give it some muscle. The Comp woofers can be used in both free air and vented or sealed box applications. The poly/plastic cone has back bracing making it rigid and eliminating distortion, and as first from Kicker, also features Spiralead tinsel-lead technology for even more strength and durability. All models in the Comp series are available in 4 or 8 ohm models to suit your sound system needs. Round grille covers are available seperately. The C8 model has a frequency response of 30-500 Hz, resonance frequency of 40.2 Hz and has peak/RMS power of 200W/100W respectively.
