Kenwood XR-5S

The Kenwood XR-5S is a ultra-compact, five-channel digital amplifier capable of delivering 80 watts RMS at 4 ohms with another 350 watts RMS x1. What differentiates the XR-5S from previous generation models is its compact design (7-9/16 x 9-1/4 x 2-3/16 inches) and lightweight frame (6.1 lbs), making it one of the smallest Class D, 5-ch amps on the market.

Featured is a four-layer circuit board with surface mount device (SMD) technology, a new thermal management system, and a fan-cooled heat sink. All of them work together to allow the XR-5S amplifier output much more power than is typically expected from such a small amp.
