JVC CS-AW8540

The JVC CS-AW8540 is more expensive than most in the 2009 JVC Mobile line but it is not unique. It is similiar to its sister product, the JVC CS-AW8520. Both of these products expense translates into power and a particular set of features that make them stand out from the rest.

It is a 15" subwoofer that delivers a strong 4500 watt peak power and 1500 watts of RMS power. The subwoofer requires a mounting depth of 9-11/16". It has a triple stacked magnet and a cone made out of paper and hemp, an effective and natural way to deliver sound. The JVC CS-AW8540 has additional features such as a dual-input 4 ohms voice coil, an aluminum-cast frame, santoprene surround,  and copper and abs terminals. It has a decent frequency range from 20 to 500 hz and a sensitivity of 88db/W.m. The manufacturer's website does not list the product as having any sort of warranty.
