JL Audio HD750/1
$700.00
Released May, 2008
The Pros:Installs according to the instructions, no surprises during setup. Sound output is clean and undistorted with the proper drivers. Capable of a high amount of power output to a single channel.
The Cons:Its a rare situation where you'll need a single channel for mids and highs powered this high. Doesn't come with the basic nuts and bolts to mount it in the car.
The JL Audio HD750/1 is a class D monoblock full-range amplifier based on Single Cycle Control switching technology. The second amp in the JL Audio HD series, the HD750/1 utilizes one channel instead of its 4 channel peer, the HD600/4.

Whereas the HD600/4 outputs 150w per each channel for a total of 600w, the HD750/1 outputs 750w through its one channel. The HD750/1 also supports additional features such as an infrasonic filter, output polarity reversal, and dual mono speaker output connections. The Audio HD750/1, however, offers a reduced dampening factor of >500 @ 4 ohm / 50 Hz (versus the HD600/4’s >300 @ 4 ohm PER CH. / 50 Hz). Priced at $699.99, the JL Audio HD750/1 is cited as a decent solution for consumers seeking a one channel amplifier.

#jl_audio_hd750_1 I own an HD750/1 and it's connected to a JL12W7. It sounds pretty good, but if you have a W6 or W& speaker it would be best to save a few more bucks and get the 1000/1v2. It's a lot more powerful. You can get one for $700 if you shop around but be careful who ya buy it from. Also, unless you listen to rock, make sure your W6 or W7 sub is in a ported box. for the W7 the JL HO box is unbelievable. But, bottum line is the HD is smaller, but doesnt have the solid power the Slash series has. Trust me on this one...
