Infinity REF850W

The Infinity REF850W is a 8” subwoofer composed out of a high-efficiency and lighweight polypropylene woofer cone designed for higher sound output from a reduced amplifier power. A drastic downgrade from the Infinity KAPPA and Infinity BASSLINK 10”/12” models, the REF850W (from the Infinity Reference series) does not include the BASSLINK’s built-in amplifier.

In addition, it offers an inferior frequency of 30Hz-400Hz (versus the KAPPA 10dvq/vq and 12dvq/vq’s 25Hz-400Hz) and a reduced sensitivity of 91dB (versus the KAPPA 12DVQ and 122.7W’s 92dB). The REF850W also features large-roll rubber surrounds that trim downs on distortion and ensures a tighter bass, an in-board motor structure that reduces overall mounting depth, and a vented polepiece that offers additional cooling. Priced at $64.99, the Infinity REF850W is a massive savings from its more expensive, albeit formidable counterparts in the BASSLINK and KAPPA series.
