Infinity KAPPA PERFECT 12DVQ

$200.00 Released January, 2003

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Variable Qts through special inserts. A high-tech design. Not too expensive.

The Cons:Requires the purchase of a box to mount it in. Rolloff below 40Hz.

The Infinity KAPPA PERFECT 12DVQ is a 12” die-cast subwoofer with a magnesium-woofer cone and dual four-ohm voice coils. The third model in the KAPPA series, the 12DVQ changes pace by increasing its subwoofer from the 10DVQ & 10VQ’s 10” to 12”.

The 12DVQ also supports a superior sensitivity of 92dB and a decreased frequency of 25Hz-400Hz. The 12DVQ, however, maintains its predecessor’s 400w nominal power handling, 1600 peak power handling, and 8ohm impendence. In addition, the 12DVQ features a variable Q design that provides superior sound, dual 3" voice coils that offer improved heat dissipation, and a vented polepiece/basket that throttles unnecessary mechanical noise. Priced at $199.99, approximately $40-$50 over its predecessors, the Infinity KAPPA PERFECT 12DVQ is considered a prime solution for consumers seeking the power and functionality of the 10DVQ & 10VQ in a larger, more sensitive subwoofer model.
