Hifonics Zeus ZXi 693
$70.00
Released November, 2007
The Pros:Good output even on the basic power direct from a head unit. Fairly smooth sound, not overly tinny in the highs. Can handle a fair amount of power.
The Cons:Audiophiles may find the highs slightly harsh. Slightly large in construction, won't fit in low-profile door spaces.
The Hifonics Zeus ZXi 693 is a 6”x9” three-way speaker constructed out of a lightweight titanium-ceramic composite cone designed to deliver quality bass signals. An upgrade from the ZXi 683, the ZXi 693 offers a larger frame (6”x9” versus 6”x8”), an improved peak power handling (550w versus 425w), and a more powerful nominal power handling (110w versus 85w).

The ZXi 693, however, maintains the ZXi 683’s 43Hz-24kHz frequency response, 12mm Neodymium silk multi-mount multi-swivel dome tweeter, weather-resistant butyl rubber surrounds, and ZXi’s MaxxFitt titanium-chromed speaker frames. The Hifonics Zeus ZXi 693 is priced at $69.99, $21 over the $48.99 Zxi 683.
