Cadence FX6m8

The Cadence FX6m8 is a slim profile 6 inch midrange driver for mobile audio systems. This is identical to the Cadence FX6m4, with the only difference being an impedance adjusted to 8 Ohms. This allows more powerful amplifiers to be used without as much concern over blowing out the speaker.

Both speakers are built with a slim profile, enabling them to be installed in car doors and other tight places. This driver has a 125Hz - 10KHz frequency response, covering the midrange and midbass for a filled-out sound. Peak power handling is 150 watts, and RMS power handling is at 75 watts. The main motor is a 60 oz magnet structure weight which is paired with an oversized 1.5 inch high temperature CCAR voice coil. This can create vibrations that cause distortion, and is managed by a high tinsel steel basket. An additional bass blocking capacitor prevents low frequencies from being generated that aren't supported by the hardware. Kevlar reinforcement and a wire mesh grill are used to increase durability.
