Alpine SPS-600

$120.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Enough power in the mids and highs to compete with a loud subwoofer. Can be played at full volume with crystal clear sound. Fit in stock speaker ports, don't have to lose the "stock look".

The Cons:Can sound harsh and distorted with some kinds of music or if not tuned just right. Don't have much bass support, strongly benefit from additional subwoffer. Price for the quality of the speakers is slightly high.

The Alpine SPS-600 is a set of 6-1/2”, 2-way coaxial speakers, each boasting a Poly-Mica woofer with a 1” silk dome tweeter. Each tweeter swivels up to 10 degrees, allowing users to adjust its direction for an enhanced audio experience.

In general, these speakers are best used as a direct upgrade from OEM factory speakers. Despite their high power of 230W, their drawback lies in their frequency of only 70Hz-kHz, which, at the very least, is better than a typical factory speaker. Additional features of the Alpine SPS-600 include a shallow-mount design for easy installation, an ultra-low distortion magnet, and compatibility with all major brands of head-units—especially Alpine.
