Alpine PDX-4.100

$550.00 Released January, 2006

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Small footprints takes up less space than many competitors. Very high power output for an amp of this size. Highly compatible with a range of component speakers.

The Cons:Level adjustments can occasionally lock amp in safety protection mode, requiring maintenance. Priced higher than similarly sized amps from competitors. High power output may require adjustments to car's electrical system, e.g. capacitor.

The Alpine PDX-4.100 is a 4/3/2 channel density digital amplifier that performs with 100 watts per 4 channels.  The design is modern and stackable, meaning multiple ones (or others in the series) can be bought and stacked in the trunk to save space and deliver more than just one unit on its own.

The PDX-4.100 offers features such as a 4-Layer glass epoxy PC board, a non-fading pre-amp RCA output, adjustable gain control, a subsonic (infrasonic) filter, STAR topology, protection circuits, a power/status LED, a low pass filter, and a feature not found in many other amplifiers: the same power output for 2Ω  or 4Ω loads.  All of these features rack up the price on the Alpine PDX series but promise better sound quality in return.
